Westward Ho! Pier House

Westward Ho! has really come into its own since we started visiting North Devon regularly since 2011. You can walk from Appledore to Westward Ho! along the Burroughs and across the beach. It is about four miles. There are some lovely new places to eat too. We would recommend the Pier House for an evening meal and to watch the sunset, see Greg's amazing picture in this post. A lovely setting. They also cater for coffee and lunches. Dogs are even welcome in the bar area and outside of course. We also tried the Beach Bar Diner which is on the Seafront at Westward Ho!. We had a good hearty lunch, staff were friendly and food was simple but effective. Dogs are welcome in the relaxed cafe bar area, which allows dogs of all shapes and sizes. There is a restaurant upstairs which we have not yet tried, but hope some of you will try it and let us know how good it is! Come and stay in Appledore, North Devon - it is a real treat. Janine
