Dog Rules at Instow Beach

In 2020 the Council amended the Voluntary Code of Conduct: For the area of the beach between the quay to the South and just before the boathouse (the main beach) to the North from 1 May to 30 September they would ask that dogs are kept on a lead on the upper part of the beach where families tend to sit, and also from 1 May to 30 September no dogs should use this part of the beach between 10 am in the morning and 5 pm in the evening, whilst dogs may be exercised on the remainder of the beach during these months and on the whole beach for the rest of the year. This is a voluntary arrangement and we would respectfully ask dog walkers to abide by this
